A stunningly genuine and unspoilt example of this rare Series 1 Daimler. Supplied by Stratstone of London on 27th March 1973, to the first keeper who held the car for 20 years, before passing to the second and only keeper thereafter. Ordered in arguably the most desirable combination of Regency Red with Biscuit Leather. Irreplaceable documentation accompanies including correspondence between Stratstone and the original keeper leading up to the purchase in March 1973 including the original factory order, deposit receipt, hand typed on Stratstones headed paper. Other nice artefacts of history remain including the original sales brochure, price list, colour and trim chart and early style V5. Expired MOT,s running back to 1982 when the mileage was just over 20k are present also. The original hand book pack is present containing the original Passport to Service book, radio instructions, wiring diagram and UK dealership reference book - even the original member of sales staff business card is held. A Heritage certificate from Jaguar Heritage is on file, confirming the car is matching numbers. A recent inspection and service was carried out by a Jaguar specialist from this era which included replacing shock absorbers, brake hoses and a new exhaust was fitted. Some natural cosmetic aging is evident commensurate with the age of the car, but only adds to the all round provenance. The drive is smooth and tight, commensurate with a car which has never been taken apart and restored. Rare to see so many desirable attributes in one classic car, including all original documentation, low mileage and surely the nicest colour combination available at that time.
